Czasowniki modalne: materiał z webinaru #DriveMore English 12 lutego

Podczas webinaru #DriveMoreEnglish 12 lutego rozmawialiśmy o nakazywaniu/ zakazywaniu/ zezwalaniu kursantowi na dokonywanie określonych czynności/ wykonywanie manewrów w samochodzie. Do tego służą czasowniki modalne. Poniżej materiał, który ilustrował 30-minutowe zajęcia. Na kolejny bezpłatny webinar #Drive MoreEnglish zapraszamy we wtorek, 5 marca o 20.00.

  • Czasowniki modalne stosujemy w zdaniach z czasownikiem w formie bezokolicznika.
  • Przeczymy dodając „not” do czasownika modalnego:
  1. He cannot drive safely (can’t w skrócie). Cannot piszemy łącznie!
  2. He should not drive so fast (shouldn’t w skrócie).

Uwaga: przeczeniem dla must nie jest ‘must not’- must not to nie wolno/ nie możesz:

You must not drive so fast in the city! – Nie wolno ci jeździć w mieście tak szybko.

Przykłady inspirowane filmem WORD Warszawa- włączanie się do ruchu
